Two former Premier League champions are soon to meet at the Emirates, though both have struggled in the shadow of their famous title winning sides of years past. This season also represents a contrast in fortunes between them, with Arsenal battling for a coveted top four spot while Leicester City are likely to have to settle for a mid-table finish after some disappointing results throughout 2021-22.

A tale of consistency - or lack of it

What Arsenal have done better than their upcoming opponents so far this season can be summed up in one word - consistency. The Foxes have had memorable European nights as their Europa Conference League campaign continues, spearheaded by the ever-present 35 year old Jamie Vardy. Arsenal, however, are looking far more likely to be the team enjoying similar (maybe even better) experiences next season.

Put simply, the Gunners know how to beat the teams below them in the table as they aim to maintain their good form and leapfrog Manchester United into fourth spot. Their growing squad have shown it is more important to put this kind of run together than produce sporadic great performances if you want consistent success over the course of a full campaign.

Nerves to hit as we near the business end of the season?

Perhaps the biggest test for some of Arsenal's younger players is yet to come. While many have shown they certainly have the talent to wear an Arsenal shirt, few have been in a situation before in which they can qualify for a major European competition - the Gunners having missed out on such occasions within the past few years.

Putting together a strong composed finish is, after all, the final mark of consistency. With some big games still to come, Arsenal's sternest exams may lie in wait, but to be in with a chance of making it count for something they have to continue winning matches against teams like Leicester at home.
