To honour Holocaust Memorial Day 2025, marking 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, Academy Manager Per Mertesacker and sports coaching student Evie met Alfred Garwood, a Holocaust survivor.
Alfred shared his powerful story of survival, resilience, and the importance of standing against hate.
This year's theme, ‘For a Better Future,' calls us to build a world where the dignity of every human being is protected, and where prejudice is never allowed to become normalised.
Together, we can ensure the lessons of the past shape a better future.
